about

Constantine Chatziviltsos’ very own Flower Vision was formed during lengthy commutes between Stratford and Peckham in London. It was during these foggy, melancholic journeys that he recorded his first two EPs, ‘Voodoos of Ambition’, and ‘Innocence’: two sets of intensely autobiographical songs that explore classical themes of love and hate through the lens of a somewhat disaffected, yet compassionate expatriate, slowly losing faith in those around him. With songwriting becoming less of an escape and more of a ‘sole purpose’ in his life, Constantine needed a statement – he needed an LP.

It was at this stage that he met Sam Nicholas (Corrections). After a somewhat tumultuous initial meeting just outside of Rough Trade East, and a few communication breakdowns, they decided to work together. Indeed, the artist had found his easel in Nicholas’ uncanny and idiosyncratic mixing methods. Finally he’d found someone who understood his vision, and thus production ensued.

The album is as direct as the artist himself:

“I realised I wasn’t as important as I thought I was. And I wanted to delve into other people’s stories and problems as well, rather than just thinking about myself, and writing about myself. That would be so boring.”

This is ‘Times Times Times’; the sound of personal and professional relationships fragmenting over the space of a year, and Constantine’s most fully realised work to date.
